BREAD KIOSK

Alfama's bakery is open daily from 11 a.m. onwards, serving in-house, freshly baked bread, including the mouth-watering "Pão de Deus," or "heavenly bread," - a brioche-like sweet bread with a coconut crust.

Most Portuguese consume wine, cheese and pastries on a daily basis, but bread is the only one that plays an integral part to every meal. Bread is a portuguese passion and every region of the country has their own type(s) of traditional bread.

Ahh....the smell of freshly baked bread! Is there anything more delicious and tantalizing than that in the morning?
